Mauritius provides a state-of-the-art telecommunication infrastructure with availability
of ISDN, IPVPN and IPLC connections and leased lines amongst others.
Mauritius has a high telephony penetration rate with 3 established telecom companies
servicing over 350,000 telephone lines and 700,000 cellular phone users.
The country is connected to the SAFE-SAT-3 fibre optic cable enabling high bandwidth
connectivity with Europe, South-East Asia and Africa as well as the forthcoming satellite to
fibre optic cable data transfer.

Business in Mauritius is conducted around Port-Louis, the capital city, with an ICT pole and
business park at Ebene. There are other business parks which have been constructed or are
presently being constructed in different parts of the island.
